Chemical Peels in DHA Karachi for Clearer, Brighter, Smoother Skin
A chemical peel is a medical skin treatment in which a carefully chosen acid solution is applied to remove the dull, damaged outer layer of skin and encourage fresh skin to grow. At The Asthetik in DHA Karachi, chemical peels are chosen and supervised by Dr Samina Habib, an aesthetic physician and skin specialist, so the type and strength of peel match your skin type and concern.
What a Chemical Peel Can Do for Your Skin
1. Fewer Breakouts and Clearer Pores
Peels such as salicylic acid work inside the pores to reduce oil and congestion, which can help with acne and blackheads.
2. A More Even Skin Tone
A course of peels can lighten the look of pigmentation, sun spots and post-acne marks, alongside a proper skincare and sun-protection routine.
3. Smoother, Brighter Texture
Removing the dull outer layer leaves skin looking fresher and can soften fine lines and mild acne scars over several sessions.
Not All Peels Are the Same — Why the Right Peel Matters
Peels range from gentle superficial peels, such as glycolic, lactic or mandelic acid, to stronger medium-depth peels such as TCA. The right choice depends on your skin type, the concern being treated and how much downtime you can take.
Brown and South Asian skin needs extra care, because the wrong peel can leave pigmentation. That is why every chemical peel at The Asthetik starts with a skin assessment by Dr Samina Habib’s team, and the strength is built up gradually over sessions.
Your Chemical Peel Experience at The Asthetik
Step 1 — Consultation and Skin Assessment
We discuss your skin concerns, medical history and current skincare, and examine your skin to decide whether a peel is right for you.
Step 2 — Preparing Your Skin
Some patients are given a skincare routine to use for one to two weeks before the peel, to prepare the skin and lower the risk of pigmentation.
Step 3 — The Peel Session
The skin is cleansed and the peel solution is applied for a set time, then neutralised or removed. You may feel warmth or tingling. Most sessions take 20 to 30 minutes.
Step 4 — Aftercare and Recovery
Mild redness, dryness or light flaking for a few days is normal with most peels. Daily sunscreen and gentle skincare are essential while the skin recovers.

I've visited many clinics because I'm somewhat of a skincare fanatic lol and trust me when I tell you this, NO clinic comes close to their customer service. Like treatment aside and all that, the doctor informed me of EVERY.SINGLE.THING!! I've never experienced this before which is really frustrating because most doctors don't (seriously why is this so normalised? I feel like it only happens to women as well)Posted on Google![]()

FAQ
Curious About Chemical Peels? Here's What You Need to Know
Common questions patients ask before booking a chemical peel.
Acne and blackheads, oily or dull skin, uneven tone, pigmentation and sun spots, post-acne marks, fine lines and mild acne scars. Deeper scars may need other treatments such as laser, which we can discuss at your consultation.
Yes, when the right peel and strength are chosen and the skin is prepared properly. Strong peels on darker skin carry a higher risk of pigmentation, which is why we assess your skin first and build up gradually.
Most concerns improve over a course of 3 to 6 sessions, spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart. Dr Samina's team will suggest a plan after your skin assessment.
Light peels usually cause only mild redness for a day or two, and most people go back to work straight away. Stronger peels can cause peeling and flaking for 5 to 7 days.
Peels are usually avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding, on infected, broken or sunburnt skin, and soon after isotretinoin (Accutane) treatment. Please tell us about your medicines and medical history at your consultation.
